Mulholland's Bar & Off Sales, Castlewellan — 30 Mbps to 300 Mbps
A full network upgrade across a two-storey venue covering a public bar, off sales and back-of-house. The ISP had left the site on a flat default network, capping throughput at around 30 Mbps.

The problem
CCTV, tills and card terminals were all sharing one flat network with guest Wi-Fi. Any traffic spike anywhere hit everything else, and real-world throughput was capped well below the paid-for line.
What I did
- Enterprise access points installed and hard-wired throughout both floors.
- Managed switch and VLAN configuration: separate virtual networks for CCTV, EPOS and guest Wi-Fi.
- Every terminated cable tested with a certified cable tester before sign-off.
The result
Site now runs at the full 300 Mbps. Tills and cameras are isolated from customer traffic. Coverage is resilient across both floors, front to back.
