Privacy notice

JKL Electrix is a sole trader based in Downpatrick, Co. Down, Northern Ireland, providing structured cabling, Wi-Fi, IT support and CCTV services. For any question about this notice or your data, contact:

When you send an enquiry through the contact form, we collect:

• Your name and email address (required).
• Your phone number and the type of enquiry (optional).
• The message you send us.
• Technical information about the request: your IP address and browser user-agent, and the time of submission. This helps us prevent spam and abuse.

We do not use website analytics, advertising trackers, social pixels, or third-party marketing tools. We do not build profiles about visitors.

• To reply to your enquiry and discuss possible work. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in responding to prospective customers, or steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) or (f)).
• To keep the website secure and prevent abuse of the contact form. Lawful basis: legitimate interest (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
• To meet legal or accounting obligations, where a message becomes part of customer records. Lawful basis: legal obligation (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)).

We keep your data to ourselves. To run the website and reply to you we use these service providers, who act as data processors:

• Lovable (Sweden) — hosts the website and stores form submissions in a managed database on our behalf.
• Cloudflare — provides content delivery and DDoS protection for site traffic.
• Lovable Email (via Amazon SES) — delivers our reply confirmation to you and the enquiry notification to us.
• Our email provider — the mailbox at jon@jklelectrix.com where we receive and store our reply thread.

We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, they operate under UK GDPR-compliant safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.

• Enquiries that don't lead to work: kept for up to 24 months from the last contact, then deleted.
• Enquiries that lead to work: kept as part of that customer's records for as long as required by tax and accounting law (typically 6 years).
• Website request logs (IP + user-agent linked to a submission) are removed with the submission.

This site does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and does not require a cookie consent banner. The browser may store small amounts of technical data (for example a session token used only if you sign in to a future customer area), and web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. No non-essential tracking runs on the site.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct data that's inaccurate or incomplete.
• Ask us to delete data we no longer need to hold.
• Object to, or ask us to restrict, our processing of your data.
• Withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

We may update this notice occasionally — for example if we change service provider. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change.
