JKL Electrix is an owner-operated Northern Ireland business providing practical Wi-Fi, network, cabling and connectivity solutions. Customers work directly with the person assessing, designing and delivering the solution — clear accountability throughout.
JKL Electrix has its roots in a family electrical contractor and retailer established in the 1970s and 80s, with shops in Downpatrick and Newcastle, Co. Down.
I got hooked on cabling and networking when I was about 14, working for my father’s electrical company around the year 2000. I watched a TV engineer make up a patch cable on an install and from that moment I was fascinated by how networks, cabling and connectivity solutions are put together.
The business today is focused entirely on structured cabling, business networks, Wi-Fi and hospitality IT support, with a background in TV systems, multi-screen media, IPTV, satellite systems and sound and video communication.
JKL Electrix is owner-operated. There is no call-centre and no field team — just one accountable specialist who visits, designs, installs and supports the network. That's a deliberate choice: it keeps quality consistent and makes it easy to know who to call.
Now based in Downpatrick and working with businesses across Northern Ireland.
