Quinn's Bar, Newcastle — full-building Wi-Fi for tap-to-pay

A busy multi-bar complex where over 70% of transactions now go through tap-to-pay. Patchy coverage in parts of the building was putting card payments at risk during service.

We surveyed the whole building and mapped five dead spots across the bars and back-of-house. Five enterprise access points were installed on a single managed SSID, giving even, measured coverage front to back for card terminals, staff devices and guest Wi-Fi.

Saint Patrick Centre, Downpatrick — from 7.5 Mbps to full-line 75 Mbps

A network site survey found a mis-managed and failing structured network — a backbone built on consumer home-plug adapters that was throttling the whole building to around 7.5 Mbps.

We tidied the comms cabinet, installed a new managed switch and patch panel, replaced the home-plug backbone with proper structured cabling, and delivered a full port-by-port network map so the site knows exactly what plugs in where.

With the wired network stable, we installed two enterprise access points to cover office areas across both floors, then added a third to eliminate a dead spot in the cinema area. Wired and Wi-Fi speeds now run at the full 75 Mbps line capacity.

Smart CCTV install, Newcastle — full coverage, no cable in sight

A residential install giving the homeowner full coverage of the property from their phone, wherever they are, backed by a hardwired network video recorder on site.

24-hour recording, motion detection alerts and full-colour night vision — all delivered with cabling concealed through existing downpipes, soffits and internal routes so nothing is visible on the walls.

Mulholland's Bar & Off Sales, Castlewellan — 30 Mbps to 300 Mbps

A full network upgrade across a large two-storey venue covering a public bar, off sales and back-of-house. The ISP had left the site on a flat default network, capping real-world throughput at around 30 Mbps.

We installed properly networked enterprise access points, hard-wired connections throughout the building and a segmented VLAN setup — separate virtual networks for CCTV, tills and card terminals, and guest Wi-Fi — so tills and cameras stay isolated from customer traffic.

With the network rebuilt and correctly configured, the site now runs at a full 300 Mbps, with resilient coverage front to back across both floors.

Work-from-home Wi-Fi, Crossgar — small budget, proper networking

A remote-working client needed reliable Wi-Fi coverage in a home office that the existing router couldn't reach cleanly. Budget was tight, so the brief was simple: make it work properly without replacing what already works.

We installed an entry-level enterprise access point, hard-wired back to the existing BT router, and set up a standalone network dedicated to the office. Result: a robust, stable connection built for a full working day of video calls.

Small budgets — we use what you already have to cater for you. Proper networking solves the problem; home-plugs rarely handle the load.
