Home Wi-Fi & Network Survey

The Home Wi-Fi & Network Survey is charged at £149 for a standard single residential property within the normal JKL Electrix service area. It includes up to 90 minutes at the property, broadband speed and stability testing at the router, room-by-room Wi-Fi coverage and interference checks, a review of existing router, mesh, extender and powerline equipment, recommended access-point and cabling locations, written findings and a fixed-price installation quotation.

Installation work is not included in the survey fee. Any equipment, cabling or access-point installation is quoted separately and carried out at a later agreed appointment.

Extended Home Survey (complex properties)

Larger homes, three-storey properties, multiple buildings, extensive outdoor coverage, rural links or complex CCTV and cabling requirements may need an Extended Home Survey from £199. Where this applies, your details are collected first, JKL Electrix confirms the exact scope and price with you, and payment is only taken once you have agreed. The checkout price is never changed without your confirmation.

Assessment price

The Business Network Assessment is charged at £199 for a standard on-site assessment within the normal JKL Electrix service area for premises of typical small-to-medium business size.

What's excluded

Repair or installation labour during the visit is not included, unless separately agreed and priced in advance. Faults inside third-party payment hardware, ISP services or provider platforms may require support from the relevant provider.

Cancellation and rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule either survey free of charge up to 48 hours before the confirmed appointment. After that, or once travel and survey work have begun, the survey or assessment fee is not automatically refundable.

Home survey fee credit

Proceed with qualifying installation work of £750 or more within 30 days of the Home Wi-Fi & Network Survey and the full £149 survey fee is credited against that work. Where an Extended Home Survey is agreed, the full agreed survey fee is credited against qualifying installation work of £1,000 or more booked within 30 days. Credits apply to work carried out by JKL Electrix and are not exchangeable for cash.

Business assessment fee credit

If you accept installation work valued at £1,500 or more that JKL Electrix quotes following the assessment, the full £199 assessment fee is credited against your final invoice.

The credit is valid for 60 days from the date the installation quotation is issued unless a different validity period is stated on your quotation. The credit applies to installation work carried out by JKL Electrix and is not exchangeable for cash.

Travel and service area

Any travel charge outside the standard service area is disclosed and agreed with you before payment is taken.

JKL Electrix serves homes and businesses across Northern Ireland from a Downpatrick base. Travel outside the standard service area, unusually large sites or complex multi-building assessments may require a bespoke price. JKL Electrix will contact you before confirming if this applies to your booking.

VAT

Prices shown include or exclude VAT as stated on the booking confirmation and quotation. If VAT registration status changes, invoicing will be updated in line with HMRC guidance.

Reports and recommendations

Written findings are provided in good faith based on the on-site assessment. You are under no obligation to accept the recommended work.
